How PSG could line up vs Man Utd as Thomas Tuchel makes changes

Thomas Tuchel will be forced to shuffle his pack for Tuesday night’s Champions League clash against Manchester United.

The Ligue 1 leaders head to Old Trafford missing several key players through injury.

Forwards Edinson Cavani and Neymar are both sidelined, as well as right-back Thomas Meunier.

That will require changes but Tuchel said the Ligue 1 leaders cannot stray too far from what makes that successful.

"Obviously we’re going to be missing a couple of key attackers, but you don’t change your identity for that reason," he added through a translator. "We have a tradition, we play attacking football and that is how we’re used to playing – to create chances.

PSG players train ahead of the game

"It’s in our DNA. That’s how we play. To change it is really difficult."

Tuchel believes the challenge of facing Manchester United has completely changed since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took charge at Old Trafford.

When PSG were paired with United in the Champions League Round of 16, United were labouring under Jose Mourinho, but Tuchel’s team will on Tuesday take on a side who have won 10 and drawn one under Solskjaer.

Thomas Tuchel will switch things up

"I think it’s completely different," he said. "They play with a lot of confidence, they score a lot of goals and get a lot of early leads. It’s an impressive run.

"To play at Old Trafford in this moment against this Manchester United is one of the toughest challenges you can have."

PSG predicted XI: Buffon; Kehrer, Kimpembe, Silva, Bernat; Marquinhos, Verratti; Alves, Draxler, Di Maria; Mbappe
