Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd 'wined and dined glamorous Georgian TV presenter'

Speedboat killer Jack Shepherd is in a romantic relationship with a glamorous TV journalist, reports claim.

The fugitive, who is fighting extradition to the UK, is said to have wined and dined Maiko Tchanturidze while on the run in Georgia.

According to reports, the 24-year-old sat with Shepherd when he told Georgian TV that victim Charlotte Brown’s death was a tragic accident.

Shepherd, 31, fled to the country from the UK where he was convicted of the manslaughter of Charlotte, also 24.

He was handed a six-year sentence in his absence at the Old Bailey in July.

Charlotte died when she was handed the controls of Shepherd’s speedboat and crashed while the pair were on a date on the River Thames in 2015.

On Friday, Shepherd’s lawyer, Mariam Kublashvili, argued his July trial was unfair “because the jury did not hear from him”.

However, prosecutor Ketevan Gurashvili argued he was a “clever man” with contacts who “planned to flee to Thailand or Indonesia”.

While his case is settled, Shepherd has been sent to join murderers, rapists and paedophiles in Tblisi’s notorious No8 jail.

A source told the Daily Mail that the pair had become close in recent months and made no secret of their relationship.

Tchanturidze worked for one of the main TV networks called Rustavi 2 before later moving to Europe for Georgia.

She is also said to have worked at Bassiani – a techno club which Shepherd is said to be fond of.

Shepherd is married but said to be split from his wife who is raising their three-year-old child alone.

Yesterday, the Daily Mirror revealed how Shepherd enjoyed ski trips and boozy nights out while on the run.
